Founded by fellow creatives Kristin Miracle-Lewis and Jaime Saunders, Abode was born from a shared love of interiors and a vision to create a space that embodies the laid-back soul of California living, the timeless beauty of the coast, and the simple pleasures of a life well-lived.
Each piece is lovingly sourced from local artisans, makers, and our vibrant coastal community—reflecting a deep appreciation for authenticity, craftsmanship, and connection.

Meet the Founders
Kristin Miracle-Lewis
Founder of The Garage Collective and Co-Owner of Abode Bodega + Goods, Kristin is a Laguna Beach–based creative with a lifelong passion for fashion, interiors, and design. Inspired by Elizabeth Gilbert’s Big Magic, she launched The Garage Collective in 2015 as a small pop-up with friends, which soon evolved into a vibrant retail space bringing together local artists, makers, and designers. Kristin’s vision has always centered on collaboration, community, and cultivating beauty through thoughtfully curated spaces and goods. When she’s not designing or connecting with local creatives, she enjoys life by the beach with her husband and two sons.
Jaime Saunders
Jaime is an interior designer with over 15 years of experience creating beautiful and livable, coastal inspired spaces. A graduate of the Interior Design Institute in Newport Beach, her portfolio includes residential and commercial projects as well as numerous home renovations and flips throughout Laguna Beach and beyond.
Deeply inspired by travel, nature, and coastal living, Jaime’s design philosophy reflects an effortless balance of form and comfort. Her love of ceramics, textiles, and food infuses Abode with a sense of warmth and everyday beauty—celebrating the art of gathering and the joy of well-made things. A mother of two and part of a beach-loving surf family, she partnered with Kristin in 2023 to bring her longtime dream of opening a design-driven retail space to life.
